Reverend Herbert G. Hill, Sr attended Johnson C. Smith University and received a BS in Accounting in 1986. He then attended Johnson C. Smith Seminary at Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received his Master of Divinity in 1989. Reverend Hill is married to his lovely wife, Mrs. Rose B. Hill and is the proud parent of Herbert Hill Jr. and Christina Hill.

Reverend Hill began his ministry in 1989 at Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church in Concord, NC as a Student Minister. He has been serving as an Ordained Minister since June 3, 1990 and has been serving God for the last 25 years. He was the Pastor of Timothy Darling Presbyterian Church in Oxord, NC from 1990-1995. Over the years, he has been a Supply Pastor for many churches.

Reverend Hill began his relationship with Covenant Presbyterian Church of Kannapolis, NC in April 2014 as the Pulpit Supply Pastor and became the Part Time Pastor in January 2015. Reverend Hill is a Spirit-filled servant of God who brings God's Word to the people, strives to help the church transform into a church of the 21st century, meets the needs of the people, and finds new ways to spread the Word.
